Most patients benefit from dental cleanings and exams every six months. However, Dr. Yoshihara creates personalized schedules based on individual oral health needs. Some patients with gum disease or other conditions may need more frequent visits.
Even with excellent home care, plaque can harden into tartar (calculus) that can't be removed by brushing alone. Professional cleanings remove this buildup, preventing gum disease and cavities. We also check for early signs of problems during your visit.
